Note monopoly already in force

In 1712 the six-partner rule is already law. The Bank of England’s charter dates from 1694. Law’s Banque Générale is 1716.

Since 1708 no other English bank with more than six partners has been allowed to issue notes. Country banks below that line still can. There is no new charter this year.

John Law’s bank in Paris is 1716. The Mississippi break is 1720. England’s stop on gold payout is 1797. Amsterdam is still the giro table, not this note issue.
