Continental paper

In 1783 there is no new American coinage statute. The Continental note of 17 February 1776 still promised Spanish milled dollars, or gold or silver.

The two-dollar note of 17 February 1776 promises the bearer two Spanish milled dollars, or the value in gold or silver. The promise is already printed. This year does not add a coinage law.

The bimetallic dollar in statute is the Coinage Act of 1792. This page does not date the end of the war, and it does not price the note.
