Restriction still in force

In 1812 the Bank of England is still not paying gold. The Second Bank of the United States has not been chartered. That charter is 1816.

The United States has no federally chartered bank this year. The First Bank’s charter ended in 1811. The Second Bank is 1816. Peel’s Act is 1819. Full payout is 1821.
