Path back to gold

Peel’s Act has set the path. The Bank of England is not yet paying gold in full. That resumption is 1821.

Peel’s Act of 1819 is already law. It named the return to cash payments. It did not complete it.

Full gold payout on Bank of England notes is 1821. In the United States the mint ratio is still the 1792 statute. The 1834 change is later.
