Sterling’s pre-war parity
Britain restores gold convertibility at the pre-war sterling–dollar rate. The 1913 world does not come back.

In 1925 Britain returned to gold at the pre-war parity. The number was the old one. The machine was not: several centres, private convertibility, and gold that moved when the points were hit did not return with it.
The wartime end of the classical standard names this return, and the exit six years later. Reusing the pre-war rate is not the same system on pause.
