The paper mark stopped working in 1923. Britain has not restored the pre-war gold parity. That return is 1925.
In 1923 the German mark lost practical use as a unit. The Rentenmark is the stop that followed. That collapse is already in the past.
Britain has not yet restored gold convertibility at the pre-war parity. That return is 1925. It will reuse the old number. It will not rebuild the pre-1914 order.
