1934
Gold Reserve Act
30 January: title to monetary gold vests in the United States. The official price becomes $35.

The Gold Reserve Act of 30 January 1934 vested title to monetary gold in the United States. Federal Reserve Banks transferred their gold to the Treasury and received gold certificates. The Treasury was forbidden to redeem currency in gold for the public.
The official dollar price was set at $35 an ounce, up from $20.67. That was a statute, not a market print. The recall order itself is 1933.
